Shipping Policy
Order Preparation
Each work is individually inspected, documented, and packaged with museum-grade care prior to shipment.
For commissioned or allocation-based works, production, certification, appraisal documentation, and archival preparation may require 2–8 weeks prior to release.
Once finalized, orders are typically dispatched within 5–7 business days.
Tracking details are issued upon shipment.
Carriers & Delivery Standards
Shipments are fulfilled through established insured carriers including USPS, UPS, DHL, or FedEx, selected at our discretion based on destination, value, and security requirements.
High-value shipments require:
-
Signature confirmation
-
Insured declared value
-
Secure delivery handling
Carrier selection and service level are determined solely by WYG.
Insurance & Declared Value
All shipments are declared at full purchase value unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Insurance coverage is secured up to the declared value of the shipment.
Requests to undervalue shipments for customs purposes will not be accommodated.
International Shipments & Customs
International collectors are solely responsible for:
-
Import duties
-
VAT
-
Customs clearance fees
-
Brokerage charges
These charges are determined by the destination country and are not included in the purchase price unless explicitly stated.
WYG is not responsible for customs delays, inspections, regulatory holds, or governmental processing times.
Risk of Loss & Title Transfer
Title and risk of loss transfer to the purchaser once the shipment is delivered to and accepted by the carrier.
Transit risk thereafter is governed by the carrier and applicable insurance coverage.
Damaged or Lost Shipments
If a shipment arrives with visible damage:
-
Photograph exterior packaging before opening.
-
Photograph contents immediately upon opening.
-
Notify us within 48 hours of recorded delivery.
All original packaging must be retained for insurance evaluation.
Failure to report within this timeframe may limit eligibility for claim assistance.
Insurance claims are processed in coordination with the carrier.
Transit Delays
Transit timelines are estimates only.
Delays caused by customs, carrier congestion, weather, force majeure events, or regulatory review do not constitute grounds for cancellation or refund while the shipment remains in transit.
Refused or Returned Shipments
If a shipment is refused or returned due to unpaid customs duties or local fees, the purchaser is responsible for:
-
Return shipping costs
-
Carrier penalties
-
Customs assessments
Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
