WYG Hawai‘i was not originally developed for broad public release. For years, works were created privately within a highly selective circle of collectors, personal clientele, industry figures, and celebrity-level circles who valued rarity, discretion, and uncompromising craftsmanship over mass visibility. Much of the work remained intentionally unavailable to the general public, with acquisitions occurring primarily through direct relationships and private access.

Only recently have select works begun entering wider public visibility as collectors introduced the pieces into broader circulation and public appreciation continued to grow organically through firsthand experience and return response. The overwhelming level of repeat collectors, referrals, and long-term appreciation surrounding the work encouraged a gradual expansion of access beyond its originally private framework.

Founded by Italian-born artist Michael Gibbons, WYG Hawai‘i was built upon the philosophy that functional glass can exist at the level of luxury design, heirloom craftsmanship, and collectible fine art simultaneously. Each work is approached as a one-of-one artistic achievement — integrating geometric architecture, rare and increasingly unobtainable materials, disciplined structural precision, and a philosophy rooted in permanence rather than trend.

The objective has never been mass production. The objective has always been to create enduring works that carry identifiable authorship, emotional connection, and lasting value across generations.

Today, WYG Hawai‘i continues evolving toward a more publicly accessible model while maintaining the same principles that originally defined the studio privately: rarity, craftsmanship, accountability, originality, and timeless designer-level execution. The intention is not simply to create objects, but to build a lifestyle and collectible standard centered around luxury craftsmanship, artistic integrity, and heirloom-level preservation.

WYG Hawai‘i Glass Art Studio was founded upon creating works of art that accomplished pushing the boundaries of what is possible within the medium of glass—utilizing volatile, rare, and increasingly extinct color palettes orchestrated as a glass symphony of colors— yet executed in ways previously unseen within the contemporary glass movement 

Every piece of work is Built upon a philosophy of gold-standard structure, accountability, and technical precision, the studio integrates sacred geometry, golden ratio symmetry, and master European craftsmanship through artistically engineered form.

Each work is developed using rare and increasingly unobtainable materials, guided by a mastered and disciplined approach to golden ratio, proportion, structure and complexity. The result is a body of work unlike the world has ever witnessed. WYG stands as a testament that reflects a true refined structured luxury standard where design integrity, material rarity, and technical mastery exist without compromise.

Beyond creation, WYG Hawai‘i has developed a comprehensive framework for documentation and evaluation. Every original is individually assessed, graded, certified, authenticated, signed, dated, and permanently registered—establishing clear provenance, identifiable authorship, and long-term collectibility across generations.
